Floor level shower element provides wet room solution

  • 30 Mar 2015

wedi systems worked alongside Linden Homes to design and install the wet rooms for several new detached family homes.

The houses, which range in size from 3 to 5 bedrooms, have been built as part of a development at Century Gate, Beckenham, Kent.

wedi assisted with the project by supplying its wet room solution, the Fundo Ligno floor level shower element, for installation.

The company also provided one of its Application Engineers to help with the installation of the system until the project’s contractors and developers were confident enough to carry out the procedure unaided.

Fundo Ligno

wedi’s Fundo Ligno floor level shower element has been designed for use with timber floors.

The 20mm thick system can be integrated into wooden floor coverings without building up any additional height.

It can then be sealed to the floor using wedi’s Fundo sealing set.

When the system is being installed on top of floorboards, wedi building boards can be used in conjunction with the Lingo element to level the height on site.

Available in a range of sizes and drain options, the system is lightweight with wheelchair accessibility built-in.

The system, which carries the CE Mark and European Technical Approval, is also completely waterproof.

wedi floor level shower trays, boards and customised elements can all be combined to achieve the desired effect.
