Sliding door systems benefit from improved operation

  • 19 Aug 2015

Although the products have primarily been designed for Schueco ASS 50 and ASS 70.HI premium segment systems, they can be adjusted to suit a particular installation.

SmartClose

When installed, SmartClose is discreet, ensuring that it does not disrupt the room’s interior

When the sliding vent is initially pulled on, SmartClose works to convert the energy that is generated into momentum.

This momentum carries the vent smoothly along the length of its track until it is inserted into the frame; the process can be likened to the soft-closing drawers found in contemporary kitchens.

SmartClose has been developed to allow the doors to close quieter and safer, whilst removing the risk of damage to the frame by the vent being slammed shut.

The device is mounted on the top profile of Schueco’s sliding vents, ensuring that it is discreet and unobtrusive.

SmartStop

Schueco SmartStop offers a controlled soft braking action, allowing the vent to be drawn smoothly along its track before coming to a stop.

The door can then be locked and closed in the normal way.

Like SmartClose, the device is mounted on the upper profile of the door; it can accommodate vents that weigh up to 400kg.
