The damp-proofing rod from Safeguard Europe is manufactured from advanced polymers.
The rod is saturated with a silane/siloxane material which enables it to form a damp-proof course in brick, coursed stone, rubble infill and cavity walls.
The rods can be installed in hot or cold porous walls that have high or low alkalinity.
The rods, which are 180mm in length, can be installed with only a drill; they must be inserted into 12mm holes at 120mm intervals along the mortar courses of the building.
This installation method ensures that each hole is filled with the exact dose of ingredient. The substance can then disperse through the masonry effectively
The Dryrod rods can be removed from the mortar after six months when the formula inside, which is non-flammable and solvent-free, has completely dissolved into the wall.
