Underfloor heating specified for luxury loft apartment bathrooms

  • 21 Jul 2015

The Saint Martins Lofts comprise of 13 apartments, designed by London based architect Darling Associates.

The bathrooms have been fitted with Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating and Schlüter-DITRA drainage systems

With views over the West End and towards the Houses of Parliament, the Soho apartments are an exclusive selection.

Darling Associates chose to include the Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating system throughout.

The Schlüter-DITRA matting systems were specified in all of the bathrooms to guarantee crack-free tile and stone covering, whilst providing CE Marked waterproofing.

Schlüter-DITRA-DRAIN was also installed in the roof terraces to handle drainage and provide uncoupling and crack-bridging.

Efficient heating solution

Schlüter-Systems’ BEKOTEC-THERM underfloor heating was chosen as a ‘superior quality underfloor heating’ solution which ensures the coverings stay crack-free throughout.

The system features a 30% thinner screed which helps to distribute heat much faster, and is therefore more energy efficient.

It also has a low weight, low construction height and additional system components available for waterproofing and uncoupling the substrate.
