  • 10 Mar 2015

Ellis’ FlexiStraps and Emperor cable cleats have been installed by France’s electricity transmission system operator, RTE, in Cannes

The project’s contractor, SCIE THT, selected Ellis’ Emperor cable cleats for their ability to withstand high levels of short circuit.

The cable cleats, which are manufactured using type 316L stainless steel to prevent corrosion, feature an integral LSF zero halogen polymeric liner and base pad.

These features have been included within the product’s design to protect and cushion cables during short circuit conditions.

Ellis’ Emperor cable cleats are available for trefoil, as well as single cable, applications and can be used in conjuction with Ellis’ FlexiStraps.

The company’s FlexiStraps, which have been developed to ensure that widely spaced cleats are adequately protected, were also specified for installation.

They can also be used with Ellis’ Vulcan cable cleats as well as its Emperor range.
