Slip resistant EcoPath made from recycled rubber used at golf course

  • 12 Sep 2014

The loose gravel previously laid on the surface next to the first tee was migrating to grassy areas, making it muddy and sliperry in wet weather and a danger to the golfers using the course.

Ecopath MT was specified due to its ability to provide a slip resistant, easily maintainable waiting area for sportsmen and spectators, whilst the steps were also surfaced to enhance safety.

RonaDeck EcoPath MT is porous, applied to type 3 aggregate and the permeable construction is SuDS compliant, preventing surface ponding which is a crucial factor in a project such as this one.

Approved contractor Flinstone Solutions mixed the vulcanised rubber granules and kiln dried aggregate with a drill and helical mixing paddle, applying it to the prepared surface base which was foot traffic ready in 24 hours.
