Pegasus modular cable hanging system gets animated

  • 20 Oct 2015

Ellis has released a 3D animation showcasing its innovative Pegasus modular cable hanging system in action.

Available to view on the Ellis Patents website, the animated film demonstrates the strengths and benefits of the Pegasus cable hanging system.

Designed to be made to order, Pegasus is based upon a rigid extruded spine that has been carefully developed using a combination of FEA and physical testing to ensure the strongest possible backbone. The Pegasus modular cable hanging system

As the product is manufactured from a tempered engineering grade of corrosion resistant aluminium it is lightweight and can therefore be installed by just one person.

Richard Shaw, the Managing Director of Ellis, commented that the video was created as the Pegasus modular cable hanging system needs “to be be seen to be believed”.

He said: “Well now we’ve gone even further by creating what I can only describe as a standard bespoke product range. It brings Pegasus to life and gets across quickly and easily exactly what it’s capable of.”

The plastic hangers are available in four varieties, and can accommodate cables of all types. They are made from an LUL 1-085 approved, special high strength low smoke and fume zero halogen polymer.

As a result of there being no bimetallic contact and the aluminium spine being fully enclosed the product is corrosion free. Furthermore, the curved saddle shape on all hangers prevents cable damage caused by sharp edge contact.

Pegasus’ modular design allows assembly with any number of hangars in any combination, allowing designed to produce any cable layout desired.

CAD files will also be produced on request to allow for the production of accurate drawings.
