IKO’s new Permascreed brochure

Permascreed brochure details mastic aspalt alternative to screeds

  • 29 Oct 2015

IKO has developed a new brochure detailing all the features and benefits of its Permascreed mastic asphalt alternative to traditional cement screeds.

Permascreed has been developed as an effective way to level or create drainage falls on roofs and surface decks.

It is fast to apply using traditional methods, with a walk-on drying time of just one hour. This is especially an advantage when used on exposed sites where weather conditions are unpredictable and, due to its quick drying nature, the roof finish can be applied later the same day.

Ideal for both refurbishment and new build, the screed has zero water content – meaning there is no waiting for moisture to evaporate and no risk of cement stained water creeping into the underlying structure.

In addition, the screed is up to 80% less thick than traditional materials, meaning the product is much lighter in comparison.

Permascreed can be laid on primed concrete, glass fibre tissue and torch-on glass based bituminous membranes and, due to its flexibility, it is easy to achieve precise falls.
