Budget thermometer kit launched for HVAC engineers

  • 30 Nov 2015

Electronic Temperature Instruments has announced the launch of its budget Differential thermometer kit, which has been designed for use by HVAC engineers and plumbers.

With the capability to measure temperatures over the range of -099.9 to 299.9 °C with a 0.1 °C resolution, or 300 to 1372 °C with a 1 °C resolution, the thermometer can be used to establish air conditioning and hot water temperatures.

Its two type K thermocouple units also make it suitable for radiator output checks and flow and return measurements in HVAC applications. The thermocouple probes can be used simultaneously; the display can be altered to show probe T1 or T2 temperatures, or the difference between the two.

ETI Differential thermometer features

An auto-power facility has been incorporated to ensure the preservation of battery life. The instrument is programmed to switch itself off after ten minutes.

The battery can be monitored via the thermometer’s LCD display, which also provides °C/°F, T1, T2, diff, hold and open circuit information.

The unit comes in an ABS case with an integrated rubber seal, which ensures water resistance and helps to reduce the risk of damage in the field.

The Differential thermometer is supplied as a kit, with two pipe clamp probes in a protective zip wallet.
