Concrete effect vinyl tiles installed at RED5 gadget store

  • 17 Dec 2015

A RED5 retail store at Princes Quay Shopping Centre has tapped into the growing trend of concrete effect floorcoverings by installing Polyflor’s Expona Design luxury vinyl tiles.

The Expona Design vinyl tiles were installed throughout the shop floor area in Dark Concrete by local flooring contractor The Hull Flooring Co Ltd.

Developed for heavy commercial environments, the Expona Design range features 28 wood, stone and abstract effect designs and a number of concrete options with surface embossing for added authenticity.

The collection had a 3mm gauge and 0.7mm wear layer, making it ideal for use in the retail sector where high levels of foot traffic are common.

The floor coverings are further enhanced with Polyflor’s robust polyuretahe reinforcement, which is cross linked and UV cured to provide superior cleaning benefits.

Jonathon Simpson from The Hull Flooring Co Ltd commented: “With Expona Design luxury vinyl tiles we were able to deliver a high performance flooring solution with a high design finish that our customer RED5 was delighted with. We’re confident that this floor will continue to look great in the store for years to come.”

Polyflor recently published a new brochure encompassing a variety of creative flooring applications for retail interiors using its luxury vinyl tile and sheet products.
