Svara controlled via App

Svara unitary fan offers complete App control

  • 19 Feb 2016

Vent-Axia has launched Svara, Britain’s first Bluetooth-enabled unitary fan, which can be solely controlled via an App.

Set for uninterrupted operation at low speed, the Svara fan has been developed to provide sound indoor air quality.

With a power consumption of 4W, the fan offers quiet operation at 17 dBA. At 100mm, the Svara is ideal for retrofitting; however, it can be supplied with a convertor of up to 160mm.

It offers three speed modes, including a 30l/s boost speed, which can be silenced if necessary. The fan’s default setting speed is for trickle continuous flow at 10l/s; the second speed, which is triggered by the light sensor, operates at 16l/s.

The fan features light detection, which can recognise room occupancy through light movement and shadows. The sensor also acts as an overrun timer, eliminating the need for light switch control. Svara’s humidistat reacts to sharp changes in moisture, which can help to reduce the risk of condensation and mould.

Svara App

To accompany its Svara model, Vent-Axia has developed an App which allows its users to control the ventilation system remotely.

The Bluetooth-enabled App presents users with the opportunity to choose between continuous and sporadic ventilation; the software can also be used to activate or deactivate the fan’s humidistat triggers, and users can decide whether the fan should be controlled via a switch or a pull cord.

Once the App has been downloaded, households can exercise complete control over their air conditioning: factors such as silent scheduling and automatic cycles can be selected.

The fan’s sensors and speeds can be altered to change the level of sensitivity that triggers them.
