Portable foundation at King Soloman International Business School

Portable foundations installed at new Birmingham school

Jackpad has supplied the King Solomon International Business School with new portable foundations for temporary buildings.

Based in Leicestershire, Jackpad supplies portable foundations that replace the need for concrete foundations for modular and portable buildings.

The company works primarily in the education, healthcare and construction sectors, and was recognised at last year’s Offsite Construction Awards for product innovation.

Jonathan Cottrell, Construction Manager for building developer Skanska, commented: “The Jackpad system was ideal for this project; we needed a quick solution which could also cope with different ground levels.”

Skanska Contract Supervisor Victoria Raftery added: “I was delighted with the speed and ease with which the foundation pads were laid, the whole system was set up within four days and it meant a smooth process for installation of the temporary buildings.”
