Fermacell has published a new snapshot guide and brochure highlighting the benefits of its MAXifloor hollow flooring system.

The four-page snapshot guide gives a preview of its tongue and groove system, ideal for new-build and retrofit projects. Fermacell has also published a 16-page brochure which takes an in-depth look at the system’s characteristics, applications, installation, accessories and finishing.

MAXifloor has been developed to help specifiers integrate building services and communications into modern flooring systems. The system comprises a 39mm thick gypsum fibreboard, designed to sit on pedestals between reinforced concrete structural flooring and a floor covering.

The fibreboard performs to fire protection class F30 and to impact sound levels of 13 to 26dB.

The system is available with numerous accessories including perimeter strips, adhesive and joint filler. The boards can be easily cut to size with a circular saw, jigsaw or handsaw.

Both pieces of literature also give guidance on layouts for working loads between 2 kN and 4kN.
