U-value calculator app

New U-value calculator app for iOS, Android and Windows

  • 29 Mar 2016

Kingspan Insulation has launched a new U-value calculator app, featuring over 6,000 calculations all approved under the BBA/TIMSA competency scheme.

The U-value calculator app allows users to easily adjust everything from rafter depth to masonry thickness. This makes it easy to specify the right insulation product and thickness for any desired floor, wall or roof U-value.

Available for iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices – the app requires no registration and is suitable for use with the UK Building Regulation/Standards.

Product options include the Kingspan OPTIM-R vacuum insulation, Kingspan TEK Building System and new, lower-lambda, Kingspan Kooltherm K106 and K108 Cavity Board.

Once the U-value calculations are completed they can be sent directly to the user’s inbox or shared with others through email, text message or social media.

All U-values within the application have been pre-calculated by a member of Kingspan Insulation’s Technical Services Department who is approved under the ‘BBA/TIMSA Scheme for Calculation Competency Part 1 – U-value and condensation risk’.

U-value calculations also consider account fixings and bridging factors where appropriate.
