Styled a ‘big solution to a big problem’, Advanced’s false alarm management system, AlarmCalm, has been celebrated in Tomorrow’s Health and Safety Awards 2016.

According to Alison Carter, the editor of Tomorrow’s Health and Safety magazine, UK businesses would struggle to operate ‘without a safe, healthy and happy workforce’.

The magazine recognises that there are a variety of products and services available to ensure that workers are looked after. Advanced’s AlarmCalm false alarm management system, for example, is among these.

After being shortlisted for Tomorrow’s Health and Safety Awards 2016, the system achieved third place.

False alarm management with AlarmCalm

Designed to be configured for any false alarm strategy, AlarmCalm has been developed to tackle a pressing issue. Last year, false alarms inconvenienced a record amount of fire professionals and building owners, costing Britain an estimated £1 billion.

AlarmCalm can successfully scale from small installations to large sites with complex cause and effect. By focusing on alarm verification and investigation delay options, it allows for extra time to respond, inspect or validate an alarm.

The system utilises Advanced’s Building Area concept, which allows for straightforward alarm management strategy within a building.
