Stannah launches updated Piccolo platform lift

Stannah has introduced an updated version of Piccolo, its machinery directive platform lift. 

Piccolo is designed to look and function like a standard passenger lift including sliding doors, a fully automatic cabin and landing controls. 

Its key features are its compact shaft size, minimal pit and headroom and a low-power single-phase power supply. The latest generation of Piccolo has seen the introduction of the Stannah FX structure option – which Stannah describes as a ‘shaft within a shaft’. The Stannah FX structure removes the need for scaffolding within the shaft.

Picollo allows travel up to 12 metres at a speed of 0.15m/s and is ideal in sites where digging a pit is neither practical nor possible. 

It is commonly used as an alternative to a traditional platform lift when the position of the lift is against a load bearing wall and a shaft can be created with ease. The lift can be installed on both existing buildings and new-build projects.
