Stannah achieves RoSPA Gold Medal Award

Stannah achieves Gold Occupational Health and Safety award

  • 28 Jun 2016

The Stannah Group of Companies has been awarded its eighth consecutive RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award.

This year, the award scheme, which is run by the Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), celebrated its 60th anniversary. For the last six decades, it has recognised and celebrated businesses and organisations that have demonstrated commitment to accident and ill-health prevention.

RoSPA aims to reduce injuries in all ages and stages of life; designed to acknowledge commitment to improvement in accident prevention at work, its award scheme is open to international and businesses and organisations of all types and sizes.

Entrants are assessed by a panel of judges, who take into consideration overarching occupational health and safety management systems, such as leadership and workforce involvement practices.

Success for Stannah

The majority of RoSPA’s awards are non-competitive, grading achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. By maintaining high standards in consecutive years, companies can achieve gold medals, president’s awards and orders of distinction.

Stannah has been awarded its eighth gold award, which was presented during a ceremony at London’s ExCeL centre last week. The company’s equipment has been designed to ensure the safety of its users, customers, staff and lift engineers.
