Nigel Rees announces change to structure and governance of GGF

GGF announces changes to its structure and governance

  • 20 Jul 2016

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has changed the governance and structure of its organisation and group of subsidiary companies.

In order to encourage growth among its subsidiaries, the GGF Trade Federation has made the decision to operate as a single entity.

Under the leadership of Chief Executive Nigel Rees, with a Board of Directors constituted from the GGF Membership, the organisation will concentrate on providing a high level of service for its Members.

Changes to governance

Meanwhile, the subsidiaries will be encompassed within a new group, led by a Group Chief Executive and a Group Board, made up from within the GGF.

The new Group Company, which will be supported by Non-Executive Directors, will be an owned subsidiary of the Trade Federation; its new Group Chief Executive – Jon Vanstone – will be directly accountable to the GGF Board.

However, the subsidiaries themselves will continue to operate their own Boards; the participants of which may be changed from those currently in place.

All of the changes have been introduced, following a legal review of the new proposed structure and governance.
