Kiwa BDA and Lucideon form independent certification and testing partnership

  • 16 Sep 2016

Independent certification body Kiwa BDA has formed a partnership with Lucideon to co-operate in helping manufacturers to obtain approval, certification and testing for their products and systems.

Kiwa BDA is a top 20 global certification organisation which is active in 40 countries. The company offers a BDA Agrément service that provides specifiers, users and building owners with independent information on the performance of products and systems, including compliance with UK Building Regulations.

The organisation has made a formal agreement with Lucideon, one of Europe’s leading testing facilities, which offers independent and cost-effective testing of raw materials, finished products and full-scale structures to ensure the products conform to standards.

Lucideon’s Product Manager Steve Newman commented: “By working together Lucideon and Kiwa BDA can offer an improved testing and certification service to all of our customers.

It is our aim to make obtaining test and certification information for building products as simple as possible; our collaboration will mean that one point of contact will be all that is required to start the whole process.”

Kiwa BDA’s Business Development Manager Chris Forshaw added: “We are delighted to be working closely with Lucideon. Our BDA Agrément service is being welcomed with open arms by manufacturers, many of whom have test data from Lucideon or wish to use Lucideon test facilities when applying for a product approval from us.

The new agreement will help extend our service and enable our clients to benefit from the availability of the resources of both organisations.”
