Façades and Fire Safety: Routes to Compliance CPD

Kingspan launches RIBA-approved CPD on façades and fire safety

  • 26 Sep 2016

Kingspan Insulation has announced the launch of its latest RIBA-accredited CPD, ‘Façades and Fire Safety: Routes to Compliance’.

Designed to provide self-directed learning for architects and construction professionals, RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) CPDs offer current training material, which can be used to develop business.

CPD is mandatory for RIBA Chartered Architects; to maintain accreditation, they should aim to gather 100 CPD points each year. RIBA-approved CPD material – such as Kingspan Insulation’s latest programme – is worth double points.

Educating on façades and fire safety

‘Façades and Fire Safety: Routes to Compliance’ discusses rainscreen and masonry façades in residential high-rise buildings of at least 18 metres tall. It has been designed to explain how compliance with the fire safety requirements of the Building Regulations and Standards can be achieved.

It also covers legislation and guidance in England, Wales and Scotland, which is pertinent to Fire Safety Engineers, BCBs and Warranty and Insurance providers.

By completing the CPD, professionals can develop their expertise via the use of discussions, white papers and videos on specialist subjects.

As members of the RIBA CPD Providers Network, Kingspan Insulation can offer additional guidance on fire safety when specifying rigid phenolic insulation for high-rise buildings.
