New Piccolo low-speed Machinery Directive platform lift that functions as a passenger lift and ideal for ‘tight-squeeze’ locations

stannah-4The new hydraulic Piccolo low-speed lift functions and looks the same as a passenger lift, with sliding doors, a fully automatic cabin and landing controls, but it is a Machinery Directive platform lift due to its smooth, 0.15 m/s speed. Simple wall mounted construction also means it does not require a pit or much of an overrun so ideal for ‘tight-squeeze’ locations.

Passenger lift for supported living

Stannah’s new low-speed passenger lift s was the right solution for the The Pines residential care home, a new supported living service for adults with physical and learning disabilities in Tunbridge Wells. Simple wall mounted construction means it does not require a pit or much of an overrun

The lift features a half-height rear mirror, handrail, grid ceiling and non-slip stud floor. Safety and an emergency telephone connection on the platform with klaxon back-up.

The Pines benefits from the Piccolo’s low power consumption and high performance, making it cost efficient to run and helps meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010.
