Schlüter wetroom solutions used to waterproof 5-star Bankside hotel

  • 25 Oct 2016

Schlüter-Systems has provided the Hilton London Bankside hotel and apartments with a range of integrated wetroom systems to ensure a watertight, guaranteed to last solution.

The 5-star Bankside hotel is an eight storey building with 292 guest rooms, as well as a penthouse apartment which boasts a roof terrace, conference halls and leisure facilities.

During the building’s development, Schlüter-Systems was contacted to supply a range of wetroom systems that would ensure that the building’s bathroom facilities were watertight.

Schlüter-DITRA 25, a waterproofing membrane and vapour pressure equalisation layer, was used in combination with Schlüter-KERDI-COLL-L, a two-component sealant adhesive, Schlüter-KERDI-KEBA, a sealing band used to seal mat connections and floor to wall connections, as well as Schlüter-KERDI-KERECK pre-formed internal and external corners.

These all form part of CE Marked waterproofing solution, used in particular where joints occur to form bonded waterproofing in conjunction with Schlüter-DITRA 25.
