Gilberts grilles and diffusers specified for Anfield expansion

  • 2 Nov 2016

Gilberts has supplied M&E contractor Imtech with a range of grilles and diffusers for the new Main Stand at Anfield, the home of Liverpool Football Club.

The Gilberts’ components have been installed in the corporate viewing boxes, banqueting areas, bars and toilets as part of Phase 1 of the club’s stadium expansion programme. Products used include a combination of 4 way louvred face (DGA/4) ceiling diffusers, as well as L/0/3 grilles and vision proof NV/6 grilles with Smokeguard fire dampers.

The products will ensure the efficient distribution of fresh air throughout the zones, with the louvred face ceiling diffusers providing four-way blow with a maximum cooling differential of 12°c through the ceiling, as well as the slimline L/0/3 bar grilles similarly fitted level with the ceiling with a fully concealed fixing.

Gilberts’ NV/6 non vision transfer grilles are surface mounted into doors and blockwork, allowing the passage of air and light whilst obscuring vision, whilst the Smokeguard dampers allow ventilation view a drive mechanism that enables airflow in normal circumstances,  closing to prevent smoke and flame penetration in the event of a fire.
