GAI launch seminar on door hardware and accessibility

  • 8 Nov 2016

The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers are offering a free training seminar covering architectural ironmongery and accessibility.

The RIBA-approved CPD module focuses on all aspects of accessibility legislation and standards – including the Equality Act, BS 8300:2009 and Approved Document M – and how they impact on the specification of door hardware.

The module covers the affects that BS 8300 may have on products such as door closers, automatic door operators, door furniture and hardware including hinges, locks and panic systems. In addition, the free-to-attend seminar overviews access control products and handrails, as well as visual contrast and light reflectance values.

As the seminar is RIBA approved, architects are eligible to receive double learning points for attending a the CPD.
