Hydraulic platform lift provides accessibility to trampoline park

  • 18 Nov 2016

An indoor trampoline park in Barnstaple has installed a hydraulic lift developed by Stannah to enable access to both stories of the building.

Supplied within its own freestanding structure, the Stannah Midilift SL does not require a lift shaft and can therefore fit where standard passenger lifts cannot.  At the Air Extreme trampoline park, the lift was installed next to a turned metal staircase, sharing the same ceiling aperture to the first floor.

The hydraulic lift is wheelchair friendly, with a fixed ramp at ground level and a 1,100mm x 1,400mm platform that travels at a distance of 3,185mm at a speed of .150m/s.

Finished in anthracite-grey (RAL 7016), the industrial-style lift features panoramic glazed doors at both levels and a downlighter ceiling which switches off to minimise running costs when not in use.  An easy-to-use operation panel is also provided, as well as a grab rail, intercom and non-slip light grey floor.

The Midilift SL is covered by Stannah’s continued lift service plan, with four service visits in the first year and further support by the South West England and South Wales branch of Stannah Lift Services.
