Innofix Clip top product at Building Magazine and Housebuilder Awards

  • 12 Dec 2016

Redland’s tool-free Innofix Clip has been named Product Innovation of the Year at the Building Magazine Awards and Product of the Year at the 2016 Housebuilder Awards.

Innofix was amongst nine shortlisted finalists at the Housebuilder Awards and ten at the Building Magazine Awards.

The unique tool was developed following an update to the British Standard 5534: Code of Practice for Slating and Tiling in August 2014, which included the introduction of mechanical fixing of hips and ridge tiles, wind uplift restrictions for underlays and an increase in the minimum tile fixings.

Innofix provides a fast way for contractors to comply with the changes, and is up to 40 percent quicker to install than traditional nailed clips.

Manufactured from durable, high-grade stainless steel. the stormproof clip is designed to last for the lifetime of the roof and is supplied in an easy to dispense magazine.

Redland Head of Marketing David Patrick says of the awards, “We knew Innofix was good from the moment we tried the prototype; and its subsequent sales success has been more than testimony to that too. However, it is still incredibly pleasing to have Innofix’s innovative problem-solving qualities acknowledged by these publications and their illustrious judging panels.”
