On its stand, ASSA ABLOY showcased its Low Energy Locks, which have been designed to combine high energy with ecological operation. As energy is only used when the status of the lock is changed, the system boasts a low current consumption.

The locks have a wide voltage range and are suitable for use in a number of situations. They have been designed to offer swift, easy access and security, in addition to reducing the overall energy consumption and carbon footprint of the building in which they are installed.

The Low Energy Locks were granted the Gaia Award for sustainable construction products, following numerous nominations from visitors to the exhibition. As sustainability concerns all of its processes, Abloy was thrilled to receive international acclaim in arena where sustainability is key.
