Access Control seminar to be held by Abloy UK at ISEC 2017

  • 27 Feb 2017

Abloy UK, experts in security, are holding a seminar at ISEC 2017, explaining important changes to access control locking applications on fire and escape doors.

Taking place in Dublin in the Conference Centre Citywest, ISEC is Ireland’s long established event for the Irish Security and Fire Industry.

The seminar will aim to provide delegates with an understanding of the minimum legal performance criteria for access control locking applications for fire and escape doors.

The criteria includes EN179 and EN1125, reinforced with new licensing requirements for locksmiths and installers in the Republic of Ireland, through the Private Security Authority (PSA) and impending changes in local Building Regulations.

Abloy UK’s Commercial Director, Pat Jefferies is set to present the seminar, and is retained by BSI and CEN as the UK’s Electric Locking Technical Expert. Implementing the requirements of the ‘Construction Products Directive’ applicable throughout Europe within the seminar, will also be covered.

Pat explained that the seminar is vital for businesses which supply, specify, or install access control locking or blocking as part of a security system.

ISEC 2017 is a free event and you can register to attend on the ISEC website.
