Saracen awarded contract for landmark office fit out

  • 10 Mar 2017

Saracen Interiors has been awarded a contract for the complete fit out and refurbishment of its new company headquarters at Prospect House.

Sirius Minerals Plc awarded Saracen the contract as the company moves the bigger premises to accommodate Sirius’ expanding head office team, which the company is aiming to grow from 70 to 160 this year.

It is elected that Sirius will occupy its new offices in July after Saracen started on sit earlier this month. Covering three floors, the 55,000 sq ft fit out will include the installation of new mechanical and electrical facilities throughout.

The new HVAC design and fit out is estimated to save the company an estimated 40-50 per cent on energy bills overall as well as further bolstering Sirius’s green credentials.

Michael Page, director of Saracen Interiors said the company was delighted to have won the contract and is pleased to be working on such a prominent and well-known site in Scarborough, giving Saracen further opportunity to showcase its work.

External affairs director for Sirius Minerals Plc, Gareth Edmunds added that Saracen impressed the company in the early stages and has demonstrated a firm commitment to the project overall.

Covering projects in Yorkshire, Scotland and across the whole of the North West, Saracen has established a presence in the North recently, and the company hopes that this project will further improve the company’s reputation.

Saracen’s four divisions – Saracen Interiors, Saracen Facilities, Saracen Small Works and Saracen Move Management – offer a set of seamless service options, designed to anticipate all manner and scale of requirements.

Recently, the company has worked with clients such as Coca-Cola Enterprises, CH2M, Tata Communications, Loma Systems, Thames water, Toshiba and more.
