Ellis Alpha trefoil cable cleats have been specified and installed by Edelnor in a new transmission substation in Lima, Peru.

It has been constructed to pave the way for line two of the city’s metropolitan railway system. The success of the line has seen the original line extended, work commence on line two and plans put in place for a further four new lines.

Ellis’ Alpha cable cleats are more robust than cast aluminium cleats, manufactured in extruded aluminium to BS EN 755. With a one bolt fixing mechanism and zinc plated steel closing fasteners, they are easy to fit, and available with aluminium or polymer base options.

Tony Conroy, Ellis’ global sales director said the Alpha clears have won the company a lot of business since they’ve been introduced, with their technical superiority, delivery times and globally known and trusted name.

In Latin America Ellis has a region specific business development manager, Gabriela Castro-Fontoura, who manages the work of the distributors in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Peru.

Tony added that Latin America requires the building of personal relationships and therefore presence was required in the region from Gabriela.
