The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) has made three new appointments to its head office team.

When David Stacey was appointed president of the GAI, he undertook the task of recruiting people to support the company’s existing head office team.

Douglas Masterson, Rachel Tipton and Davina King will be joined by new director Angie Corkhill, marketing manager Keiron Lewis, and education membership administrator, Abigail Wong.

Together, the Guild’s head office team will strive to support and develop the GAI’s growing membership in the UK and overseas.

With more than 15 years of experience in executive responsibility, Angie takes on the role of director. She has held positions in the professional and educational sectors across the globe; most recently, she acted as director of member relations and digital at the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia).

Angie hopes to draw on her international experience in her new role: ‘The Guild already has a strong global presence, particularly in the GCC and Asia,’ she says. ‘I’m looking forward to taking these relationships to the next level, expanding the education programme and promoting technical support for overseas members.’

New marketing manager, Keiron Lewis, has worked for a range of B2C and B2B companies, including Domino’s Pizza and Cadbury. He has experience in designing advertising material and creating marketing plans to help brands best position themselves within their target markets.

At the GAI, one of his first responsibilities will be to organise the upcoming GAI Education Awards, which aims to recognise and celebrate up-and-comers in the architectural ironmongery sector.

The head office team will be supported by Abigail Wong, the GAI’s new education membership administrator. Abigail boasts a wealth of experience in implementing and coordinating office procedures, and ensuring that a high level of customer service upheld.

She previously worked at the Venn Group, where she was responsible for over 340 employees. Her role also included providing support to the company’s directors.
