Encasement creates bright, open space at Midlands mall

  • 3 Oct 2017

Both Vecta wall lining systems and ‘Forma’ column casing solutions from Encasement have been used to create a double height full length glass atrium for a Wolverhampton shopping mall.

The new atrium is part of an extensive refurbishment and upgrading of the Mander Centre. Encasement’s Vecta interior wall lining system was chosen to clad the atrium and mall footbridge, as well as the gallery ring beam bulkhead.

The panels were manufactured and installed by Encasement and create a bright, open space for retailers and shoppers with their white finish.

Encasement also manufactured, supplied and installed 34 Forma bespoke column casings, which use an elliptical contour design for the ground floor and gallery shopping area.

Each column casing stands 3000mm high and are manufactured using Alucobond aluminium composite to provide a durable and tough surface.

Encasement’s Managing Director, Martin Taylor, said: “The transformation of the centre following the refurbishment has been remarkable and it has created an excellent retail environment, as well as attracting new stores and shoppers.”
