Closomat provides top venues with accessible solution

  • 2 Nov 2017

Closomat is helping more building’s than ever to be accessible with the growing popularity of its disabled toileting solutions.

Alton Towers and JD Wetherspoon are among the names to utilise Closomat’s Space to Change facilities.

Cornwall Services on the busy A30 truck road also opened a facility, now used on average ten times per day. Alex Lawson, manager at Cornwall Services further comments, “Customers are returning time and time again, and planning trips with a stop scheduled here, because they need these toilet facilities.”

Under Building Regulations and British Standards, it is desirable in public buildings to have access to, in addition to a conventional wheelchair-accessible toilet, a 3m x 4m wheelchair accessible WC facility with a ceiling track hoist, adult-sized changing bench and privacy screen: a Changing Places toilet.

Changing Places provides the extra space required, for those who need more than a conventional wheelchair-accessible toilet.
