Gilberts increases flexibility with new range of modular accessory boxes

  • 21 Nov 2017

Gilberts (Blackpool) Limited is extending flexibility and top indoor air quality with a new range of modular ‘accessory’ boxes.

The new box will integrate with the hybrid Mistrale Fusion System stand-alone ventilation and enable easy addition of various filtration options, to the MFS through-wall or through-window unit.

The needs of a room can be met precisely with the addition of the appropriate box behind the core Fusion unit.

Gilberts’ MFS comprises a box fitted through the external facade with louvres, and that mixes internal and external air to ventilate the internal space. Airflow is modulated by a mixing damper, mixing fresh air with the warm exhaust air and extracting its heat without the need for an exchanger.

Airflow is distributed evenly due to the integrated low energy fan, which also allows control over temperature and CO2 levels within.

The system meets Department of Education Building Bulletin requirements, PBSP guidelines and achieves relevant acoustic considerations. In addition, the range is in compliance with Building Regulations Approved Document L and attains air leakage better than legislative requirements.

Finally, as with all Gilberts’ ventilation solutions, it delivers efficient weather performance via its bespoke louvre system.
