It’s healthy work at Aggregate

  • 24 Nov 2017

Aggregate Industries are not only a leading player in the construction and infrastructure industry but are also one of Britain’s Healthiest Workplaces, according to a survey by the Financial Times newspaper.

With their headquarters in Bardon Hill, Leicestershire, the company came ninth in terms of being the healthiest business to work for out of Britain’s top 60 and the 15th healthiest workplace, both in the large employer category.

Now in its fifth year, The Britain’s Healthiest Workplace Survey assesses the healthiness of workplaces, looking at nine different risk factors in particular.

These include smoking habits, nutrition and physical activity, with workplace wellness interventions, facilities and services also under consideration.

Aggregate Industries’ ‘Healthy You’ employee initiative would undoubtedly have contributed to this recognition, as it provides advice and support on dealing with all manner of health issues, both in and out of work.

Stephanie Kendrick, leader of the ‘Healthy You’ drive at Aggregate Industries, commented on how much importance health and safety carries in the workplace.

“We truly believe healthier people are safer people. To be recognised as one of the country’s healthiest workplaces is true testament to this commitment and the results we are seeing from our Healthy You programme,” she said.
