Tantalising Terrazzo Tile treats top Covent Garden restaurant

  • 27 Nov 2017

Terrazzo tiles have graced the floors at Margot restaurant in Covent Garden, as the National Federation of Terrazzo, Marble and Mosaic Specialists (NFTMMS) say the popularity and use of this tile is booming.

With both the colour and the finish to complement the textures and the detail of the design, the terrazzo tile flooring was supplied to the restaurant by NFTMMS member Quiligotti, the UK’s largest manufacturer of said tile.

With more than 70 years experience, Quiligotti has amassed an impressive portfolio of projects, including Waterloo Station, Leeds Magistrates Court, Exeter University and a selection of stations for the Liverpool Metro.

Mike Moseley, Business Development Manager of Quiligotti, commented: “Our tiles are decorative yet hard wearing so can be installed across a range of projects including restaurants, airports, train stations and retail stores.”

“Supplying tiles to meet the high quality feel our client expected for this project was creative, challenging and ultimately very successful.”

Quil-X Large tiles were chosen; these are fixed similar to a traditional ceramic tile on adhesive, with no need to be ground and polished when finished, therefore saving money and time.

The tiles come in a range of nine colours, incorporating large marble aggregates with a contrasting system of smaller aggregates –  all are specifically created to meet the increase in demand for Palladian style floors.
