Hospice receives makeover at the hand of Crown Paints

  • 12 Jan 2018

Crown Paints has donated 250 litres of paint to a palliative care hospice, to enable an extensive refurbishment of the Cheshire hospice.

Halton Haven Hospice cares for those who have been diagnosed with a limiting or terminal illness. Crown donated the paint through Nimtech, who oversee the recycling of paint containers and distribution of unused paint at several of Crown’s sites.

The donation allowed all 21 rooms at the hospice to get a makeover. Jan Gray, Family Support Team Manager at Halton Haven Hospice, explained: “We have chosen greys and pastel colours in the bedrooms, and each room has been named after special flowers, including Primrose, Forget-Me-Not and Poppy.”

The project was started in June and is due to be completed at the end of January, with help from contractors, local trades people and volunteers.

Jan concluded that the hospice is extremely grateful for the donation from Crown Paints and the work of Nimtech.
