Washroom Washroom is showcasing its awareness of the environment with the installation of a brand-new biomass boiler at its factory in Essex.
Costing £350,000, the new biomass boiler will not only reduce the company’s impact on the environment but will also bring a plethora of plusses to the washroom designer and manufacturer.
This is because it will improve the efficiency of its factory operations, creating a much bigger capacity than the previous boiler, therefore helping Washroom with its expansion of its operations and investment in new machinery.
The state-of-the-art boiler is the equivalent size of 35 domestic boilers, providing heating for the entire factory, as well as heating the spray booths and presses.
Powered using wood off-cuts, it can burn up to 450 tonnes of waste wood each year which could save 52 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
The brand-new ceramic air filtration system introduced will lower emissions from the wood fired boiler to guarantee it does not detriment the air quality surrounding the factory.
By continually investing in its facilities, Washroom has managed to grow its manufacturing capacity and continue to deliver quick turnaround times for clients.
