BIM Objects for Hush Acoustics Ltd

  • 8 Feb 2018

Hush Acoustics Ltd has released a detailed BIM Object library to assist the industry’s switch to digital building modelling, with objects available in Revit and IFC formats.

BIM is government led and geared by clear processes and the rapid technology changes that are being sought, which were inevitably going to introduce change throughout the industry.

The future of construction is digital, with BIM being the software which pulls all project information together in one place.

New data-rich BIM Objects mean products from Hush’s range can be simply worked into a 3D building model and associated component database.

As well as 2D and 3D product representations, each BIM Object features embedded product information and associated data to accompany the specification.

The objects also have parametric design settings, offering the requisite flexibility to develop project-specific Hush Acoustic details.

BIM draws a whole host of information about all components of a building together, making it feasible to access information for any purpose; for example, to incorporate differing aspects of the design more effectively.

This lowers the risk of mistakes or discrepancies, also lowering abortive costs.

BIM data can illustrate the entire building life-cycle, from inception and design to demolition and materials reuse.

Spaces, systems, products and sequences can be shown in relative scale to each other and, with this, relative to the entire project. Furthermore, by signalling conflict detection, BIM eliminates mistakes setting in at varying stages of development and construction.
