Old Bailey building gets new plaster wall finish thanks to Armourcoat

  • 26 Mar 2018

Armourcoat polished plaster wall finishes have featured in a large scale office refurb of Twenty Old Bailey, by architects BuckleyGrayYeoman for global asset manager Blackstone.

Situated opposite to the criminal courts in London, the building has experienced a
substantial modernisation project to make more than 22,000 square metres of contemporary office space.

A reconfigured atrium has been created, which connects the new facades to the East and West of the building, allowing natural light to bathe the interior.

The atrium now has over 700 square metres of Armourcoat ‘KonCrete’ polished plaster, which has been expertly hand-applied and features a recessed logo by the entrance.

‘KonCrete’ is an urban range of polished plaster colours and finishes designed with contemporary projects in mind.

Armourcoat

The range provides a plethora of design choices to achieve a striking modern look, including distressed effects or recessed shutter markings.

Additionally, Armourcoat ‘SMG’, a luxury polished plaster finish, was applied to the reception desk front and lift lobbies.

Offering a seamless high-gloss lacquer effect, it provides an grandiose decorative effect, ensuring supreme light reflection, which creates a welcoming and spacious interior.
