Care facility gets style and safety from Polyflor

  • 27 Mar 2018

Polysafe safety flooring and Expona luxury vinyl tiles from Polyflor have recently featured in the construction of Needham House in Devizes, Wiltshire.

Needham House is a housing development of extra care apartments, giving older people greater opportunity to live independently in their own homes, with on-site care and support.

Over 2000 square metres of Polyflor vinyl flooring was installed in the 47 self-contained apartments and communal areas within the £9 million Needham House project.

Expona Commercial PUR luxury vinyl tiles in the Light Classic Oak design adorn the building entrance and lobby areas, the dining hall, staircases, circulation areas and corridors between the apartments.

The Expona Commercial collection contains wood, stone and abstract effects which are perfect for interior spaces such as housing, healthcare and other commercial sectors where heavy foot traffic is likely.

Polysafe Wood fx PUR safety flooring in Classic Oak was installed inside each of the apartments to offer sustainable wet slip resistance in the  kitchens.

Activity rooms and treatment rooms also featured Polysafe Wood fx, which is a hard wearing sheet vinyl flooring combining the authentic reproduction of wood with practically invisible aggregates to offer traction for underfoot safety withno compromise on the floor’s appearance.

Another safety flooring product, Polysafe Verona PUR in the Café Noir shade, helped create safe working environments for staff involved in catering.

The Polysafe Verona range features virtually invisible slip resistant particles and complementary tonal chips, offering the high clarity look of a smooth vinyl floor but with the performance of a safety floor.
