Wrightstyle, the leading international supplier of advanced glazing systems, has introduced a new door system that offers 90 minutes of integrity and insulation.
The new 8050 series of thermally broken fire doors are fully compatible with Wrightstyle’s SR60 curtain walling system, and provide a new level of visual appeal.
The door system is available in either single leaf or double leaf and will accept glass up to 60mm thick.
They can be used as a stand-alone product or incorporated into Wrightstyle’s SR60 curtain walling system, providing a complete screen or façade an hour and a half of integrity and insulation.
The new door system has been successfully fire tested and adds a further option to Wrightstyle’s already substantial range of fire and smoke resistant doors, including a range of unlatched doors in double or single leaf format – a breakthrough fully-glazed fire door system.
The new system adds a further 30 minutes of protection to what it was previous, with the significant and added benefit of thermally broken profiles.
The SR series curtain wall and roof glazing system gives architects and designers flexibility in glass dimensions and façade design, meaning large areas can be spanned with no need for a secondary support assembly.
Denis Wright, Wrightstyle’s chairman, said the inclusion of a thermal break in this door system gives it extra insulation, and also allows for slimline steel framing.
“It therefore combines the protective function of an advanced steel glazing system with the sleek aesthetics that architects and designers are looking for,” he said.
