GGF & FENSA at the CTSI Symposium 2018

  • 10 May 2018

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and FENSA are exhibiting and presenting at the annual Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) Symposium.

The CTSI Symposium is taking place in Nottingham from 4 – 6 June and is a superb opportunity for GGF and FENSA to network with Trading Standards Officers and engage with key influencers from organisations such as the Advertising Standards Authority, Citizen’s Advice, Which?, TrustMark and the CTSI itself.

GGF’s Membership and Training Director, Richard Hearn (right of photo) and FENSA’s Membership Director, Chris Beedel (left of photo) will be co-presenting on the topic ‘GGF & FENSA helping Trading Standards to protect & delight consumers’.

The presentation will showcase the benefits of GGF’s consumers website MyGlazing.com and its consumer protection schemes, such as the Conciliation Scheme, which helps Members and homeowners resolve any disputes, and the improved Deposit Indemnity Fund, which safeguards consumers’ deposits if a GGF member company were to go into administration, liquidation or bankruptcy.

FENSA will present on the crucial role it has in supporting Trading Standards, with policing the industry and assisting the prosecuting of rogue companies misusing the FENSA logo.

Chris Beedel commented: “It is important for both FENSA members who choose to undertake work legally and play by the rules, and for consumers that when a company states that it is a FENSA member that has been inspected and audited for compliance with the Building Regulations, that this is true.”
