Aldi targets trade with high-tech thermal imager

This month, supermarket Aldi is stocking the Rothenberger DT-980 Thermal Imager for just £899. The device can be purchased exclusively online now but will only be available while stocks last.

This Rothenberger DT-980 Thermal Imager is specifically designed for mechanical and electrical inspections, as well as for building diagnostics.

It enables users to identify overheating and mechanical errors, locate leaks (gas or liquid), and monitor buildings for heat loss.

The Rothenberger DT-980 includes a high-resolution LCD screen (240 x 320 pixels) and infrared imaging. The camera has a focusable lens capable of detecting temperatures ranging from -20 to 350 degrees centigrade, with a high degree of accuracy.

The DT-980 can be used for the following applications:

  • Mould detection
  • Building thermography
  • Facility management
  • Leakage location
  • Quality assurance
  • Maintenance
  • Detecting mechanical problems before they become expensive failures

The device features 100MB of integrated memory, with an additional 8GB available on micro SD card. It also features an integrated LED light and digital camera with flash, plus video and voice recording functions, ideal for on-site documentation.
