Sidey opens a fabulous new showroom in Edinburgh

  • 15 Oct 2018

This month, Scotland’s strongest fenestration company, Sidey, opened the doors to its Edinburgh Showroom in the out-of-town shopping area near the city’s Ikea.

It’s kitted out with 36 entrance doors, as well as a range of different types of traditional and modern windows, all full sized and installed in home style settings.

With a VIP preview the night before, invited guests and Sidey’s team enjoyed the fabulous new space for the first time on Saturday 6 October.

Steve Hardy, Joint Managing Director, commented: “The concept for the new showroom is to be different to any other in the UK. We recognise that the climate in building and renovating homes is different and this is our response.

“That’s why the new showroom is designed not just for the retail side of the business, but for our commercial customers too.

“It’s somewhere they can come to get inspiration for glazing and to look at the latest ideas in window and door design, to create warmer and more secure homes.

“The first day was very busy. Local radio station Forth 1 ran a competition for listeners. Almost 400 entered, and 20 finalists, along with their supporters descended on the showroom for the draw.”

Forth 1 presenters Boogie and Arlene revealed the winner, who was Nicola McIntosh. She said she couldn’t believe her luck, as she had never won anything before.

It was timely success for her and her husband, as they are embarking on some major work for their home, with the £2,500 prize going towards either a porch or conservatory.

Steve added: “The showroom is now open, but there are more products to add. We are already planning to add a glazed extension over the next few months.

“The Sidey Edinburgh showroom is open seven days a week and we are looking forward to making good use of it for all our customers.”
