Keystone’s Hi-therm+ Lintel receives BBA Certification

  • 24 Oct 2018

Keystone Lintels‘ Hi-therm+ Lintel has officially been awarded a British Board of Agrément (BBA) certificate after comprehensive assessments, audits and tests.

The Hi-therm+ Lintel is up to 5 times more thermally efficient than a standard steel cavity wall lintel, therefore, reducing thermal bridging & improving SAP calculations.

During the development of the lintel, it was tested rigorously on its structural performance, behaviour in relation to fire, thermal performance, condensation risk and durability.

BBA certificates are a mark of quality, safety and reliability. BBA certificates are awarded only to lintel companies who continuously carry out approved load testing and operate under strict quality control manufacturing procedures. The Hi-therm+ Lintel is now officially the only BBA Approved one piece lintel solution which achieves the appendix R-value for steel lintels in Part L 2013 (depending on wall construction).

David Grace, Sales Director at Keystone Lintels commented: “At Keystone we invest heavily in research and development to continuously improve our products and deliver thermally efficient solutions.

“We are pleased to say that Hi-therm+ is the only BBA Approved one piece lintel solution which achieves the appendix R value for steel lintels in Part L 2013 (depending on wall construction).

“We have worked closely with the BBA throughout the development of Hi-therm+ to ensure we are providing our customers with innovative solutions which meet the highest quality and safety standards.”
