Novus carries out a variety of refurbishment work at hospitals, including corridor upgrades, roofing and external landscaping work.

The meeting was hosted at Novus’ head office in Fenton and was attended by representatives from twelve organisations.

Aspire Housing has also contracted Novus to construct three energy efficient properties in Newcastle-under-Lyme, valuing at £291,000 and scheduled for completion in June 2014.

Derek Ferguson, Novus’ strategic operations manager for Scotland, said: “We are confident that our first class reactive maintenance service will give a real boost to both associations and to their many tenants.”

Ian Hodgkiss, contracts manager at Novus, said: “If the site visit has inspired just one youngster to think more about how they could get involved in construction in the future then it will have been a great success.”

The maintenance specialists built two new extensions on the school grounds, including the replacement of roofing, the renewal of rainwater goods and the removal of two chimneys. The company’s Warwick office successfully completed the first two years with the council in October and this could be extended again in September 2014. Novus will be carrying out response and planned maintenance for the council buildings, schools, libraries and fire stations.

Representatives from Novus donated their services to the project on The Foxes Den Play Area, on Fox Hollow Close, after the site was blighted by anti-social behaviour.
