Stone and civilisation were made for each other, something which ROCKWOOL have known for a long time – they will be demonstrating this at Futurebuild 2019.
Showcasing the ‘7 Strengths of Stone’, ROCKWOOL will break down the versatile properties of stone wool; the seven reasons why the world’s most abundant resource can be engineered to improve wellbeing and safety in our homes and buildings.
Interactive live demo areas on the Stand are set to bring to life the key properties and benefits of stone wool insulation: fire resistance, sound absorption and moisture repellence.
These exciting and immersive demonstration zones will help visitors fully experience the advantages of ROCKWOOL solutions, showing their advantages across a wide range of building and construction applications.
Visitors can also follow the journey of ROCKWOOL from raw material, a 200 million years old naturally renewable and sustainable rock called basalt, to finished stone wool insulation product.
The RIBA Marketplace at Futurebuild – which incorporates the RIBA Bookshop – will be a dynamic hub for the show that not only provides great networking opportunities for architects and building professionals, but will also demonstrate design and material innovation, courtesy of winning architects practice, Gundry + Ducker.
In their winning submission to a RIBA Competition, the London-based firm took advantage of the acoustic benefits afforded by ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation, as well as the strength and design versatility offered by Rockpanel cladding.
The finished design will see a themed reading room and marketplace within a rotunda, designed for visitors to escape for a call or meeting away from a busy show floor.
Stand B40 will feature the latest innovations from the company’s extensive range of sustainable, non-combustible insulation products for rainscreen, flat roof, HVAC, fire protection, fire stopping and many more applications.
