Vandersanden UK, the brick manufacturer renowned for its innovation, sustainability and craftmanship, has introduced a new range of ECO brick slips into the UK market.
As true, hand-formed brick slips, Vandersanden is able to significantly reduce the waste typically associated with brick slip manufacture, creating a versatile, attractive and more sustainable solution for architects and specifiers.

Vandersanden’s ECO brick slips provide exterior or interior walls with all the natural warmth and texture of a traditional brick façade but manufactured in a much more environmentally sensitive way.
Instead of being cut from full bricks as is typically the case with most brick slips, these ECO brick slips are directly formed and fired in special moulds. The result is a much more efficient production process, minimising raw material wastage and energy consumption.
In design and application, ECO brick slips are approximately 2cm thick meaning that 8cm can be saved in wall thickness compared to traditional bricks, creating more space for insulation as well as a leaner looking façade. In combination with the E-Board® wall insulation system they also meet the high requirements for energy-efficient structures.
ECO brick slips are available in three different sizes – 50mm, 65mm and XL40mm – as well as different structures and colours. In addition to a traditional hand form structure, the Vandersanden range also includes the contemporary pressed water-struck brick. Architects and specifiers can also use matching ECO corner strips for a professional and aesthetically attractive corner finish.
