GGF launches new Health, Safety and Environment Hub

  • 15 Jun 2021

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) announces the launch of a new online Health, Safety and Environment Hub. This will house all the health, safety and environment services and products the Federation delivers for Members and the industry.

The aim of the new Hub is to provide a more informative service primarily for GGF Members but also to show non-Members all of the many services and products the GGF offers to make a more safe and sustainable industry.

The Hub provides the full range of health, safety and environment support and covers core services, such as…

 – the Glass Charter scheme
 – consultancy
 – health and safety data
 – publications
 – latest news
 – events including online forums and webinars

On this latest development, John Agnew, GGF Managing Director, comments: “The GGF team has been working hard to improve our value proposition and also to present our information in the most effective way.

“Visitors to the GGF website can freely access the new Hub and see the full range of services and benefits available to help them with their operations from a health, safety and environment perspective.”

James MacPherson, GGF Health, Safety and Environment Manager, who has been the driving force behind this new online development, says: “Working with both GGF Health and Safety and Environment Committees, we wanted to create an online space within the GGF website where Members and non-members can find all aspects of our health, safety and environment services in one place.

“The new Hub achieves that and enables much easier navigation and access to our products and services.”

The concertina style drop down design has multiple sub-sections for the user’s convenience and ease of navigation. Each topic provides links to relevant documents and/or easy online booking forms.

In addition to the web links to access the GGF’s library of health and safety publications, the new Hub also has a special feature allowing Members to log their accident and incident statistics. These are then fed back to the Health and Safety Executive.

Visitors to the Hub can also view the meetings of Health, Safety and Environment Committees and book their places at GGF Health, Safety and Environment Webinars and other related events.

‘A great resource for our industry’

James Macpherson adds: “The new Hub is a great resource for our industry, with interactive features and essential information.

“I am sure that visitors to the site, will find the experience of the Hub, an easy and simple way to find the best guidance for their health, safety and environment policies and procedures.”

The new Health, Safety and Environment Hub is the third major digital launch this year from the GGF. In March, the GGF Digital Marketing Toolkit was launched. This was followed by the recent launch of the GGF Technical Hub.

In the next few months, the GGF is aiming to launch more digital products, services and publications. These will primarily support its Members, but will also be of wider benefit for all companies in the industry.

The new GGF Health, Safety and Environment Hub can be accessed via the link. Equally, you can search ‘GGF Health and Safety Hub’ online.
